Clockworks’ A2B OEM module is an A2B to I2S adapter that allows developers to customize A2B interconnect by routing the A2B up and downstream signals over headers versus the DuraClik connectors on the standard Clockwork A2B module.
The AB0106 board mates with the AB0003 (A2B03) A2B OEM module to create an A2B client (slave) node that offers buffered I/O for the I2S lines. It also includes the Molex DuraClik connectors that are standard on A2B development boards.
When combined with the AB0003 the plug on module makes interfacing to ADC and DAC EVMs via I2S and/or I2C as simple as connecting up a few jumper wires.

The AB0106 is offered in two versions. The P version allows the node, when combined with the AB0003P module, to be phantom powered. Phantom powered nodes operate with a floating ground and this must be considered if the node will connect to other hardware; the ground connection must remain floating in any attached hardware.
The L version, for use with the AB0003L, provides for a locally powered node using an external 5 to 9V (max) supply, this enables the node to supply the maximum power to downstream nodes.
The AB0106L (local powered) version can also be used with the non-OEM version (AB0001) of the Clockworks A2B module. The L version can be converted to the P version by adding 3 components (two inductors and a capacitor). The P version can only be used with the AB0003P module. The P version can also be turned in to the L version by adding components, but is a more complex undertaking. The schematic in the User Guide below will provide details.
