The CC0003 carrier provides two set of three module slots wired to for a chain that connects as follows:
- Analog in
- ADC
- DSP / processing / digital I/O
- DAC
- Analog out
Similar to the AnalogBlox carriers, the board provides routing of multiple supply voltages (3.3 and 5V digital, +/-5 and +/-15 analog, and secondary +48 and +/- user defined) from an external supply to each mixed signal ADC and DAC module site.
I2C is also provided for each module site, and interconnects via an I2C addressable mux to avoid address conflicts in large systems. There is also a rich collection of control signals, including fault, interrupt, MUTE, and SPI.
When combined with DigitalBlox modules complex real time signal processing systems can be developed rapidly. The feature set also supports use in OEM applications where limited NRE budgets and/or development resources require the use of off-the-shelf hardware.
